Kagawong Municipal Marina, ON to Meldrum Bay Marina in Meldrum Bay, ON

Day #407: Mike and I were up at 6:30 A.M. to prepare for departure. Gina and John came out to say "see you later" (loopers never say "goodbye") and helped casting off "Parrot Bay's" lines. Mike and I have been traveling the last few weeks with "Alysana". Mike and I have had a great time sharing adventures with Gina and John but today it was time for the two boats to part ways as "Parrot Bay" is starting to head towards home and "Alysana" is heading towards Chicago by way of Mackinaw City and Lake Michigan. "Parrot Bay" was underway at 7:15 A.M. At 9:00 A.M. "Parrot Bay" was off of Gore Bay. At 11:00 A.M. "Parrot Bay" was off Robert's Point with sunshine and 1 1/2 foot waves off the starboard quarter the ride was very comfortable. At 11:50 A.M. "Parrot Bay" was off of Vidal Island. At 12:20 P.M. "Parrot Bay" was off of Batture Island. At 1:00 P.M. "Parrot Bay" was secure at Meldrum Bay Marina after traveling 49 miles (5,203 miles for the trip). After checking in at the marina Mike and I worked on paperwork. The two of us then headed up to the grocery store that was very small.  We really didn't need anything so the two of us headed back to the boat. After showers it was time for happy hour and reminiscing about the loop. At 5:00 P.M. Mike and I had reservations at the Meldrum Bay Inn (the only restaurant in town) which has excellent white fish dinners. The two of us very much enjoyed our dinners along with apricot cheesecake. After dinner it was time for Mike and I to prepare for Thursday day of travel which will be one of our longest.

Ok! Mike and I didn't really need the cheesecake covered in apricot sauce (yup it was delicious).

The last time that Mike and I were in Meldrum Bay the parlor was the only place to get good Wi-Fi to check the weather. The parlor hasn't changed much.
