Meldrum Bay Marina in Meldrum Bay, ON to Harrisville Harbor of Refuge in Harrisville, MI

"Parrot Bay" goes GOLD in Harrisville, MI

Day #408: Mike and I were up at 4:45 A.M. to prepare for departure. At 5:45 A.M. "Parrot Bay" was underway with assist from "Sirus".  At 7:00 A.M. "Parrot Bay" at the Mississaugi Strait Lighthouse, the seas were calm.  At 8:53 A.M. "Parrot Bay" was at the United States border so Mike took down the courtesy flag. It was sunny, 66 degrees and seas of l or less. At 10:30 A.M. "Tim S. Dool" passed "Parrot Bay's" bow. At 12:55 P.M. "Parrot Bay" at Green "WR-1" buoy. Mike and I had lunch on the flying bridge as the seas starting to begin pick up.  Not unsafe but uncomfortable on the beam. At 3:42 P.M. "Parrot Bay" made it past Thunder Bay with seas of 2 foot or less on the port beam and rolling. At 4:40 P.M. "Parrot Bay" secure at Harrisville Harbor after traveling 99.2 miles (5,301.8 miles total for the trip). Mike and I replaced the white burgee with gold burgee as "Parrot Bay" has crossed her wake in Harrisville. Mike found a gentleman on the dock to take pictures. At 5:00 P.M. Mike contacted United States Customs to check "Parrot Bay", Mike and I back into the United States. At 6:00 P.M. it was time for champagne in celebration of "Parrot Bay" going gold. At 6:30 P.M. Mike and I via telephone participated in the condo association meeting. The plan is for us to bring "Parrot Bay" back to Bay City on Friday weather dependent.
