Day #338: From last evening Mike beat me at cribbage. The two of us were up at 6:00 A.M. to prepare for departure. Engines started at 6:45 A.M. and "Parrot Bay" was underway at 6:50 A.M. It was partly cloudy with a temperature of 73 degrees At 7:55 A.M. My Cannon camera stopped working so I started looking on the internet to see what I could do to fix it. At 8:00 A.M. "Parrot Bay" passed Cove Point Light and LNG terminal where there was a tanker moored, the "Maran Gas Troy". At 10:50 A.M. freighter "Sider Adventure" passed as it got by I finally got my camera working. At 11:15 A.M. "Parrot Bay" passed by the research vessel "Virginia". At 11:30 A.M. "Parrot Bay" passed Bloody Point Light and freighter "Marathsa". At 11:50 A.M. "Parrot Bay" passed the freighter "Iolcos Vision" at anchor. At 12:00 P.M. Parrot Bay" passed by Thomas Point Light. As "Parrot Bay" got closer to Annapolis there were three freighters anchored at 12:10 P.M. "Century Emerald", "Century Venus" and "Sea Voyager" At 1:05 P.M. "Parrot Bay" was secure at Annapolis Yacht Basin after traveling 52.5 miles (3,912.6 miles total for the trip). Due to continuing to move out of hurricane waters I worked on getting reservations for this weekend which turned out a difficult task as the marinas are very busy but after multiple phone calls "Parrot Bay" has a slip in three different marinas this weekend into Delaware via the C & D canal. After trip planning it was time for site seeing in Annapolis. Mike and I walked to the Naval Academy. We got there just in time for the last guided tour so we toured the academy. At 4:40 P.M. the two of us headed to the gift shop for a bit of shopping. We then headed to dinner at Pusser's Caribbean Dining for a nice waterside dinner. After dinner we headed back to the boat for blogging and to prepare to travel in the morning.
