Hudson Maritime Museum Marina in Kingston, NY to Kingston City Marina in Kingston, NY

Day #353: Mike and I had a very restful sleep not having to get up to travel early in the morning. We were up at 6:30 A.M. for coffee, sticky bun and grapefruit. The two of us watched the local weather which was cloudy and rainy but the weather for late Friday through Wednesday looks beautiful. We worked on paperwork. Mike found that the raw water pump seals are leaking so they will need to be repaired. I talked to a gentleman at Waterford, NY Visitor Center and he let me know that the Erie Canal locks from E8 to E20 are closed due to high water.  He was hoping that they would re-open tonight. Mike and I moved the "Parrot Bay" to the Kingston City Marina at 11:30 A.M.  We are on a short finger pier as the marina didn't end up emptying out due to the weather.  At 12:30 P.M. Mike started to work on the raw water pump as we had a spare one onboard. At 1:30 P.M. the engine was started to test the pump.  The replacement was a success!!!! At 2:00 P.M. Mike and I decided to take a walk to check out Kingston.  It was mostly sunny and comfortable. The two of us found lots of restaurants but not many stores so we walked a bit before turning around heading back towards the marina. The two of us stopped at the Mariner's Harbor to have an early dinner. We then headed back to the boat to have happy hour sitting on the well deck. At 6:45 P.M. it was time for blogging and reading. The plan for the morning is for Mike and I to head to New Baltimore, NY.

The old and new raw water pumps. The good news is that Captain Mike had the second raw water pump onboard ready to be installed.
