Day #310: From last evening I beat Mike at cribbage (skunk!!!). The two of us were up at 6:20 A.M. for coffee, grapefruit and cookies. Captain Crusty had mentioned that he was unable to get into Topsail Island Marina as they are full, I called to confirm our reservation for Friday which is all set. Mike and I used Plexus on the flying bridge windows and Mike checked the radiators. We walked to NAPA as we had been looking for a dual 12 volt plug which we were able find. The two of us found a bakery on our way so we stopped to get some treats for the flying bridge for the next two mornings while we are underway. At 11:15 A.M. the two of us headed to the waterfront to have lunch at Fishy Fishy where I had she-crab soup/salad and Mike had she-crab soup/crabcake sandwich. The two of us took a walk on the Southport historic boardwalk where we saw a freighter coming in and turning onto the Cape Fear River. The two of us headed up to the flying bridge to read books it was a beautiful afternoon sunny and 73 degrees. A Coast Guard boat from Oak Island came into the marina. It looked like a small meet and greet for local dignitaries. At 4:30 P.M. it was time for blogging before Mike and I headed to listen to the navigation/weather talk again this evening.
