Day #325: Mike and I were up at 6:30 A.M. for coffee, grapefruit, lemon poppy seed muffins, cookies and the local weather. Due to the open water crossings that we will need to make we was decided to wait until Monday after reviewing multiple weather sites and local weather. If nothing changes the weather is suppose to be sunny with temperatures reaching the mid-90's to 100 degrees mid-week. Mike worked on a few boat jobs sounding the fuel and water tanks while I called changing marina reservations at River Forest in Belhaven and Alligator River Marina. The two of us were then thinking about staying on the free dock in Elizabeth City but there is no power at the free docks so the two of us are contemplating staying at the marina in Elizabeth City so that they can run fans on the boat. Mike and I will then transit the Dismal Swamp. The two of us walked around the River Dunes complex which has cottages and private homes. The complex is beautiful with views of the Neuse River. At 10:30 A.M. we headed to the pool to enjoy the cool pool water and read. As the day progressed the pool got busier and busier. The pool bar was open serving ice cream and adult beverages. Food could be ordered from the Yawl Café to be eaten poolside. The temperature it 92 degrees and sunny. At 4:00 P.M. the two of us headed back to the "Parrot Bay" for happy hour. At 6:20 P.M. Mike and I had chili onboard the boat for dinner. It was then time for reading and blogging before relaxing under the fan in the v-berth due to the heat.
