Aquamarina Palm Harbour Marina in Cape Haze, Florida

Day #257: HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY! From last evening I beat Mike at cribbage (skunk)! The two of us were up at 6:30 A.M. for coffee, grapefruit and Lucky Charms. After breakfast we decided to head to Publix as the grapefruit wasn't good that we had purchased so we decided to get some exercise and purchase a few grocery items. On our walk back from Publix we saw an eagle.  After we returned to the boat we launched the dinghy deciding to go for a dinghy ride. At 11:00 A.M. the two of us headed out into the Intercoastal Waterway heading for Stump Pass. On our way we saw an eagle and multiple dolphins. The two of us anchored at Stump Pass enjoying the lunch while watching an eagle and dolphins. After lunch the two of us headed down "ski alley" toward Manasota Key. We crossed under the Tom Adam's Bridge heading towards Lemon Bay. We followed the marked channel until we couldn't take the dinghy any further so the two of us turned around. Again, we saw dolphins this time one cruised under the dinghy. We returned to the marina after traveling 14.7 miles. After the dinghy was stowed Mike and I headed the pool where they were joined by David and Jan. While the four of us were in the pool the skies clouded up making it cool so our group headed to the hot tub.  Mike and I did a  FaceTime with Mom and Dad Burdo. After dinner cleanup it was time for reading, blogging and Sunday night phone calls.

Years ago Mike and I crossed this bridge to see manatee. Today we came by dinghy unable to take the dinghy any further in this direction and no manatee.

Cool boat house on Lemon Bay.
