Day #256: From last night I beat Mike at cribbage. The two of us were up at 6:30 A.M. it was raining so the we decided not to go to Don Pedro Island today. We had coffee, grapefruit, lemon poppy seed muffins and cookies. Mike worked on boat jobs (washed the flying bridge, filled the steering fluid, started the generator, added fuel treatment to the fuel tanks and snugged the turn buckles on the mast) while I made green rice krispie treats with lucky charms for the potluck this evening for St. Patrick's Day. The rain continued on and off but the temperatures were warm. The two of us listened to the AGLCA podcast on "Get Ready to Cruise the Trent Severn" while doing so we purchased our Parks Canada Seasonal Lockage Permit on line. I talked to a good friend on the phone while Mike did route planning for St. Lucie to Vero Beach. Jan and David stopped by as they returned from visiting with family. I did a bit of work on the blog page adding new pictures. At 3:30 P.M. there were two dolphins in the basin behind the "Parrot Bay" hunting for fish. At 5:00 P.M. the we headed to the liveaboard St. Patrick's Day party at the cabana. We sat with Carol and Roger from "Gratitude" and Sue and Betsy from "Hadley". The two of us had a great time at the party which will be their last party here at the marina.
