Green Turtle Bay Resort in Grand Rivers, KY

Day #97: From last evening Mike and I played one game of cribbage, Mike won and it was a skunk. Up at 6:30 A.M. I started laundry right away when we got up. After the laundry was started we had coffee, grapefruit and gingersnaps/maple cookies. Mike and I got the boat ready so that we could take it over to the service dock for diesel and pump out. There were four boats that needed to get to the fuel dock before leaving today for their next destination. I was able to finish the laundry before we moved the boat. We headed over to fuel dock with the help of Bruce. While we were at the fuel dock the BoatUS boat brought in "Maggie" a sailboat that we had seen in Alton and that had traveled with us last Monday. The sailboat was badly scratched, the mast was collapsed and the bimini was a wreck. We had heard that the sailboat may have been hit by a tugboat and that two people were hospitalized but this is unconfirmed. The BoatUs boat came in on one engine because one of the metal rigging was caught in the prop. Bruce and Bev helped us back into the our slip. The four of us headed up to the Green Turtle Bay Marina Store. At 11:00 A.M. we decided that we would have lunch heading up to the pool for the day. We were at the pool from noon to 4:30 P.M. When I returned, Russ from "Long Story" told us that some Loopers were getting together for docktails. Seven boats were represented at docktails tonight. We saw partial rainbows and it rained very hard for a short period of time. At 6:30 P.M. we headed back to the boat to cook chili cheese dogs for dinner with Bruce and Bev. Bev had a sweet potato so she cut it up in small pieces and cooked it in oil (YUM). Bev also made a cherry/peach cobbler and served it warm for dessert (YUM YUM). Mike and I headed back to the boat for the evening.
Very sad picture of the boat "Maggie". We are hoping that the crew is okay.

The marina store here at Green Turtle Bay is very large.

Bev's cherry/peach cobbler. Delicious.
