Grand Harbor in Counce, Tennessee

Day #106: Froom last evening Mike and I watched the movie Captain Ron (if you haven't see it it's hilarious). Rain overnight.  Up at 7:00 A.M. for coffee, grapefruit, gingersnaps and maple cookies. We are finally seeing the sun but it is chilly 53 degrees. Time for paperwork and boat jobs this morning. I met Jerry and Deena from "Mahi Mahi" they are from Michigan they are heading out today getting started on the locks of the Tenn-Tom. We worked on printing overhead views of marinas that we may stay at when we start the Tenn-Tom. We helped "Mahi Mahi" get off the dock. Mike and I walked the grounds of the marina and resort. We checked both fuel tanks to determine how much fuel we will be taking on here at Grand Harbor. Time for some downtime early afternoon. At 2:00 P.M. Mike and I took the courtesy car to the Pickwick Supermarket for a few groceries. While we were out we found Olde Tyme Hardware & Lumber we also stopped at Fred's Pharmacy picking up a few items. We headed back to the boat. Mike had two gentleman from the marina come to talk to him about our trip and our boat. "Tyche" came in this afternoon. We helped "Stout" a looper boat get into their slip. Time to make dinner onboard the boat we had chicken and rice. Time for quiet time this evening cribbage and reading.
Cool rocking picnic tables here at the marina.

Blue heron on the dock along with a tow in the background.

Part of the resort here at Grand Harbor.

"Winnie Mae" is a historic paddle wheel pusher tug that was made into a live-aboard boat.

"Columbia" is another paddle wheel/pusher tug boat that also advertises the boat brokerage here at Grand Harbor.
