Grafton Harbor in Grafton, IL

Day #82: Up at 6:30 P.M. for coffee, nectarine and gingersnaps. Worked on a few boat jobs while waiting for the marina store to open to get the courtesy van to go to Walmart in Jerseyville. Mike and I took the van to Jerseyville, a 21 minute ride most of which was farm land and winding roads. We were able to find everything that we were looking for while we were at Walmart. We headed back stopping to fill up the van with gas. We put all of the groceries away on the boat. We headed up to the flying bridge reading our books. We met Ray and Caryl from "Houlegan again" they were placed behind us on "C" dock. "Houlegan again" are on their 2nd loop and they will go platinum when they get to Cape Coral, FL. I received a text from "Kostal Karma". They are hoping that their parts for their transmission will be delivered this week as they are still laid up in St. Charles. Sandy let us know that "Long Story" (we met Russ and Keri in Sheboygan, IL) had been towed to St. Charles last night as they had been sucking up mud in their heat exchanger when they were in Alton. We are going to call Alton in the morning to see what their water depths are and we will then make a decision as to whether to stay in Grafton or go to Alton. Mike and I made hobo dinners on the grill.  They were awesome. We talked to Mom and Dad Burdo via speaker phone as facetime would not work. Mike talking to Mark, Amanda and his parents. Planning on watching the Detroit Lions football tonight. What a beautiful day today was sunny and highs in the mid-70's. We are hearing that the rain and thunderstorms are going to start on Monday until Wednesday morning.

This is the boat that was being towed by a 34 foot boat in the marina Sunday evening that came very close to Parrot Bay.

Today the boat was towed by BoatUS to St. Charles.

Grafton Ferry carries passengers from St. Charles, Mo., to Grafton The Illinois side of the landing is located near the Grafton Lighthouse and public boat ramp off Market Street. The landing on the Missouri side is at Grafton Ferry Road, Which is just off of Highway 94.

We are seeing more of these house boats on the rivers.

Very small helicopter flew by this afternoon,
