Day #47: Up at 5:00 A.M. we have coffee in bed while we checked the weather to make sure that we wanted to leave Port Washington for Racine. It was hazy, sunny and calm so we decided to get ready and leave. We were underway at 6:40 A.M. We passed Milwaukee at 9:30 A.M. there was a very heavy fishing fleet. At 11:40 A.M. we passed Wind Point Light. At 12:00 we passed Racine Reef Light. At 12:20 P.M. we were secure in slip E3-09.We traveled 47.5 (total trip so far we have traveled 566 miles). This is a very large marina and it has an onsite store, pool, 2 hot tubes, onsite restaurant. We went to check in once we had the boat secure. As we returning to the boat, a couple stopped by to talk to us, Suzanne and Ed have their boat here at the marina they are going to start the Loop next year. Suzanne and Ed told us that if we needed anything to call them that they would be willing to take us anywhere that we need to go. We are going to have docktails with them to share information about the Loop. At 2:00 P.M. we headed to the pool. At 4:00 P.M. we headed back to the boat for happy hour on the flying bridge. After we took a walk to downtown Racine. There are a few stores and many bars downtown. Mike was able to talk to Mark. We had another couple, Carey and Nancy, stop by who are Harbor Host here at the marina. They completed the Loop last year. Very nice couple they also offered us their car if we need to go to get groceries. Mike and I had salmon and rice for dinner on the boat. We were able to FaceTime with Mom and Dad Burdo. Mike was able to talk to Mom and Dad Boynton. Time for blogging and reading.
