Port Washington Marina in Port Washington, WI

Day #46: Up at 6:00 A.M. for coffee, ginger snaps and peaches. We went to Duluth Trading Co. as both Mike and I had found some clothes that we liked on Friday so we went to purchase a few items. We found the Port Washington Farmer's Market and Post Office as well. We went back to the candy store where I was able to purchase my sweet snacks and the register was working today. We than went to the Shopko, True Value and Piggly Wiggly picking up a few extra items for us and the boat. When we got back to the boat we went up on the flying bridge to have a small snack for lunch. We had a couple who keeps their boat here at the marina come to visit us as they are contemplating doing the Loop. We gave them the 15 minute download on our 10 years of preparation.  Mike and I finished our happy hour having a small snack for lunch as the plan is to go to the Pasta Shoppe for dinner. Mike started working on installing switches for our 3-way refrigerators so that when we get underway he doesn't have to move them to change the plugs as they are very heavy. We know that we are going to be underway just about everyday that we are in the rivers and the switches will help us in getting ready quickly. It is sunny today and we have a breeze off the Lake, it is just a perfect summer day. The plan is to leave for Racine in the morning as the winds are suppose to diminish tonight and be very favorable tomorrow. If we do not move on Sunday we will need to most likely remain in Port Washington until Thursday or Friday. We went to The Pasta Shoppe (thanks to Glen and Rita for letting us know about this restaurant) we had pizza that was delicious. We headed back to the boat for drinks on the flying bridge. Barbara and Denny from "Plan A" stopped over to see if we needed anything.  They keep there boat here at the marina. They have not looped but make sure that they check on Loopers who are in Port Washington to see if they need anything such as a ride to the grocery store. I was able to talk to my Mom and Mike talked to Amanda. Time for blogging and getting ready for our trip to Racine in the morning.

This is the only deer that we saw today on the trail.

Mike and I enjoyed eating here a year ago. We enjoyed this year as well. Thanks Glen and Rita!
