Presque Isle State Harbor in Presque Isle, MI

Day #5: Mike and I were up at 7 A.M. this morning. We walked to the New Presque Isle Light for a total of  3.16 mile walk. After lunch the two of us launched the dinghy heading for the beach. We had a beautiful day sunny, 82 degrees with south winds. Mike and I were in and out of the water. We took the dinghy for a 3 miles ride around the cove. The winds were gusting which caused an increase in the wave action and changed directions to easterly. After our dinghy ride we headed back to the beach for more frolicking in the water. The two of us had an absolutely wonderful day.  This is the type of day that we always hope for when we are in Presque Isle.  We saw cool wild life a snapping turtle and Merganser at the beach. Hamburgers on the grill were awesome. Mike made his Sunday night phone calls to his Mom/Dad, Mark and Amanda. I spent time blogging. If the weather doesn't change we will be leaving for Roger City Monday morning.
