Presque Isle State Harbor in Presque Isle, MI

Day #3: Overnight the wind gusted 40 miles per hour. We were secure and the only thing that occurred on the "Parrot Bay" was that a pair of chairs tipped over on the back deck. The two of us were up at 7:30 A.M. yes we actually slept in this morning. Relaxing coffee hour before the two of us got out of bed. Mike and I walked to the New Presque Isle Light. We climbed the tower which is a total of 130 steps. What a beautiful view from the top of the lighthouse. Mike and I were able to see multiple freighters out on Lake Huron. The winds remain gusty at 20 miles per hour, cool but beautiful sunny day. Mike and I walked a total of 4 miles this morning. With the cool weather we cleaned the flying bridge windows with Plexus and cleaned up the flying bridge. During cocktail hour I worked on yesterdays pictures for the blog and Mike relaxed reading a magazine. Mike and I worked on what to do docking if there is no one to catch our lines. After clean up from dinner it is time for blogging for me and Mike played his guitar. We had a quiet evening on the boat playing cribbage and reading.

Parrot Bay started the Great Loop Adventure on July 4, 2018. Mike and Patty Boynton departed Bay City, MI. on Independence Day. Here is hoping that hurricane season is kind to us this year.
