Day #14: From last evening Mike and I played two games of cribbage each winning a game. Up at 7 A.M. Mike and I walked to the bakery to get donuts for Amanda and ourselves. Amanda arrived at 9 A.M. to pick us up for the day for a trip to Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. After arriving in Sault Ste. Marie we went to the Meijer for a large shopping trip to stock the boat. We headed over to Tony and Amanda's house afterwards to check out the progress that they have made on the house since the last time that we had been at their house. Amanda, Mike and I headed to lunch at Clyde's Drive-In. We took our lunch to the Rotary Island Park were we ate our burgers while watching a freighter the "Frontenac" pass by headed to the Soo Locks. After lunch we headed to Mission Hill near Brimley including walking in the Historic Mission Hill Cemetery. After we headed to Point Iroquois Lighthouse. All three of us walked up into the lighthouse. We then headed to Big Pine where we walked on the beach 1.26 miles. It was sunny, cool and the winds were very strong 2-4 foot waves on Lake Superior. We then headed to Brimley to the state park, Mike and Amanda were thinking about swimming until we got out of the car it was very windy and cool. We headed back to Amanda and Tony's house for beverages waiting for Tony to get out of work. When Tony arrived we all headed to dinner at The Antler's. We all had a great meal. Tony, Amanda, Mike and I headed back to Mackinaw City. Mike and I put away the groceries away trying to find places for everything that we had bought at Meijer. Tony and Amanda headed home while Mike and I got the boat ready for our departure to Harbor Springs in the morning. We had a great day with Amanda today as she showed us her favorite places in the UP.
