The Bustards Anchorage to Sportsman Inn Marina in Killarney, ON

Day #400: From last night Mike beat me at cribbage. At 2:30 A.M. the two of us got up to enjoy the Persiedes which we saw double the number of shooting stars then the previous nights. The two of us were up at 6:00 A.M. to prepare for departure. At 7:00 A.M. “Alysana” casted off and Mike brought both the stern and bow anchors up without difficulty following “The Lower Place” and “Stay Strong” out of the anchorage. At 8:45 A.M. “Parrot Bay” passed Grandine Light with 1 foot seas. At 9:30 A.M. “Parrot Bay” entered Beaverstone Bay heading towards Collin’s Inlet. The Collin’s Inlet was a beautiful trip with lots of granite. At 11:45 A.M. end of Collin’s Inlet at Pinch Island. At 12:10 P.M. “Parrot Bay” was at the end of Killarney Passage. There are two very large marinas in Killarney;  The Mountain Lodge and The Sportsman’s Inn. The boat traffic was just crazy. John from “Alysana” tried multiple times to use the radio to hail The Sportsman’s Inn but every time that he was just about to hail another boat would hail the marina. “Parrot Bay” was given a slip that had another looper in the slip so they were reassigned a different slip just as the tour boat out of Traverse City the “Madline” was also pulling into the marina. It was a tight squeeze for both “Alysana” and “Parrot Bay” but both captain’s maneuvered the boats to the dock without difficulty. At 1:00 P.M. both boats were secure after traveling 43.4 miles (5,068.7 miles total for the trip). At 2:10 P.M. Gina, John, Mike and I headed to Herbert’s Fishery which was awesome. Herbert’s Restaurant use to be a bus but it is now a regular restaurant that is very busy. After lunch the four of us headed to the grocery store Pitfield’s General Store then to the LCBO to restock. The four of us then headed back to the boat for boat jobs, blogging and relaxation.
