Wall at Campbellford, ON

Day #379: Mike and I were up at 6:30 A.M. for coffee, grapefruit and maple donuts. At 8:00 A.M. Mike worked on navigation cards and I made phone calls to re-adjust reservations due to the two staying in Campbellford an extra day. The plan is for "Parrot Bay" to move to Hastings Village Marina then heading to Peterborough Marina on Friday for the weekend. We are hoping that our new credit card shows up promptly in Peterborough. On Monday the two of us will head to Young's Point Islandview Marina for one night followed by Buckhorn free wall on Tuesday. I was able to get a reservation at Gordon Yacht Harbour Marina in Bobcaygeon. Bobcaygeon is a very popular place on the Trent-Severn Waterway. Mike was able to do the navigation to the end of the Trent-Severn Waterway. There was a threat of rain all day but there were only a few sprinkles. Throughout the day there were numerous people from the community that would stop to talk to the boaters. Mike and I headed up to the flying bridge to read. Multiple new boats came to both walls boats and were even tying up to the wall without power. Three boats kept going up to Lock 13 to tie up at the lock. At 4:00 P.M. Mike and I joined a few loopers at a picnic table in the park.  The bakery had dropped off baked goods and a young lady that works at the chamber of commerce walked up and down the wall passing out the treats. At 6:30 P.M. the band Cruisin' a 50's-60's band played a free concert in the park multiple loopers gathered together including John/Gina on "Alysana" and Charlie/Robin on "The Lower Place" At 8:15 P.M. the concert ended Mike and I headed back to the boat. Mike had talked to some locals that stated that they have never seen so many boats here in Campbellford. At 8:40 P.M. there was a total of 25 boats between the two walls. The plan for Thursday is for Mike and I to head to Hastings Village Marina for the night.

Look this tree has arms. This lady got up and danced to all of the songs once the band started playing.
