Oswego Marina in Oswego, NY (on Lake Ontario) to Collins Bay Marina in Kingston, ON

Day #367: Mike and I were up at 4:00 A.M. to prepare for departure. Weather clear with temperature of 71 degrees. Engines were started at 4:50 A.M. "Parrot Bay" was clear of the dock at 5:00 A.M. with calm seas. At 5:12 A.M. "Parrot Bay" passed the West Pierhead Lighthouse. At 6:00 A.M. Coastguard reported that there was a 35 foot long log adrift. The two of us saw the log off in the distance. At 8:15 A.M. "Parrot Bay" was at the Galloo Island Steamer Junction with seas of less than two feet. At 8:50 A.M. "Parrot Bay" crossed the Canadian boarder, Mike raised the Canadian courtesy flag. At 9:30 A.M. "Parrot Bay" was passing the Pidgeon Island Lighthouse. Mike called Canadian Customs giving them Mike and my passport and Nexus information and they gave Mike our entry number. At 11:05 A.M. "Parrot Bay" was secure at Collins Bay Marina after traveling 55.2 miles (4,605.2 miles for the trip). After checking into the marina we set out for lunch.  The two of us walked 1.7 miles in the heat (only 81 degrees but the humidity was 94%) and we went to Bella Bistro which was recommended by Lori the marina owner. Mike and I each had haddock, fries and coleslaw which was excellent. The popular sweet treat in Canada is butter tarts.  Bella Bistro had warm maple butter tarts so Mike wanted to try one it and it was sinfully delicious.  "Marine Outfitters, which is full of boater's gear (Ed O. had told me that this store was not far from the marina). The two of us then headed to the grocery store in town to get fruit as when you enter Canada you can't have fruits and vegetables.  The two of us headed to No-Frills Grocery Store. After grocery shopping we headed back to the boat heading to the flying bridge to catch a breeze and happy hour. I started to get texts from Stacey on "Stinkpot" as Dave and her were headed across Lake Ontario. She had tried to call Collins Bay Marina for a slip but had to leave a message so Mike and I went to talk to Lori.  She was in the office and got "Stinkpot" a slip for the evening. Mike offered his assistance at the dock when they arrived as it was going to be close to closing time for the marina.  At 6:45 P.M. "Stinkpot" radioed that they were close to the marina then Dave called on the radio that he was assisting a jet ski that was sinking. Dave and Stacey got the jet ski to a launch dock then called Mike for assistance at the dock. Mike and I assisted "Stinkpot" to the dock. The plan is for Mike and I to take a break this weekend as it has been a marathon travel week and the weather is suppose to be unstable Saturday and Sunday.

                                                       Beautiful sunrise over Lake Ontario.

Due to the very high water Mike and I saw lots of trees and logs floating in the Lake Ontario.

Mike and I are so happy to be back in the Great Lakes seeing lake freighters. Mike and Patty                                                          saw this freighter " CSL Laurentian".

Mike and I had been hearing about the damage the very high water has been causing.  They saw first hand the damage at Collins Bay Marina. This is the fuel dock which is not operating as it is                                                                              underwater.

There is an airport very close to the marina there are planes flying over frequently Mike and Patty watched multiple during happy hour.
