Mariner's Landing Marina (Snug Harbour Marina) in Sylvan Beach, NY to Winter Harbor Marina in Brewerton, NY

Day #365: From last evening I beat Mike at cribbage. The two of us were up at 5:30 A.M. for breakfast of grapefruit, mini blueberry strudel bites and coffee. Mike and I watched the local news checking on the weather for the next few days. Beautiful morning with slight haze 64 degrees the forecast for today was temperatures in the 90's. Lots of mayflies, there was a hatch overnight. Engines were started at 7:10 A.M. with "Parrot Bay" underway at 7:15 A.M. "Parrot Bay" progressed through the canal heading out into Oneida Lake.  It was sunny, warming, calm seas and lots of fishing boats. At 9:40 A.M. "Parrot Bay" was across the lake and under the Route 81 bridge when I heard someone yelling "Parrot Bay"!  It was Gina from "Alysana" and she was awesome taking pictures of "Parrot Bay" as we passed under the bridge. At 10:00 A.M. "Parrot Bay" was secure at Winter Harbor Marina in Brewerton for the night after traveling 22.7 miles (4,517 miles total for the trip). Mike and I checked in at the marina and we inquired about a courtesy car to grocery shop.  Due to the fireworks today the courtesy cars could only be checkout until noon and we could only have the van for 90 minutes. The two of us saw "Baytripper" out of the water at the marina as Bruce and Bev went home for a few weeks. Mike and I were very glad to see "Baytripper" again but sad that we were not able to catch Bruce and Bev. Mike and I quickly got the boat settled at 10:34 A.M. took the minivan to Wegman's grocery store which was 7 miles away but the traffic was very busy. We were able to get all of groceries that we needed heading back to the boat. Upon returning Mike worked on navigation while I got on the phone trying to secure a marina in Kingston, ON as the two marinas that I had completed on-line bookings for on Tuesday were not calling back. I was able to make a reservation at Collins Bay Marina in Kingston, ON Friday through Sunday. The two of us are planning on spending some time with our good friends Ed and Kyle so I booked a week at Crate Marine in Belleville, ON starting on Monday. The two of us worked on getting ready for Thursday as we are heading to Owego, NY which is a 32 mile run with eight locks. Mike and I sat up on the flying bridge where there was an occasional breeze. After dinner it was time to blog and get ready for fireworks in Brewerton. At 7:00 P.M. a transformer blew and half of Brewerton was left with no power including the marina.  The boat that was parked ahead of "Parrot Bay" "The Lower Place" are loopers as well.  They returned from a brief road trip and Mike got talking to Charlie so Mike invited Charlie and Robin to watch the fireworks with us on the dock. At 8:00 P.M. the four of us sat talking about our loops having a great time. Robin is so funny Mike and I laughed and laughed. Once the fireworks were over Mike hooked up the Honda generator so that the fans could run as the boat was very warm.  At 12:30 AM the power came back on.  Mike got up and shut down the generator.

Thanks to Gina from "Alysana" as she was at the Route 81 bridge as "Parrot Bay" passed under the bridge she took photos.
