Utsch's Marina in Cape May, New Jersey

Day #345: The wind and rain moved in at around 4:00 A.M. this morning which woke Mike and I up but we fell back asleep. The two of us were up at 6:30 A.M. for coffee, mini blueberry croissants and cookies for breakfast. I found one local weather station but that was it as "Parrot Bay" is tucked way into the marina. We relaxed over coffee looking at the weather sites that do not look promising over the next week for safe travel. The next very short window could be Saturday morning but that would mean that the two of us would be in Atlantic City for five days until the next weather window opens up. If the weather doesn't change we will need to decide it we stay at in Cape May until the next Wednesday or if we move only to wait again for the next window of opportunity. Mike worked on condo association paperwork while I worked on looking ahead at marinas where we might stay as we move up the coast into New York harbor. The temperatures were in the mid-60's, cloudy, rainy and very breezy. Mike and I at 1:00 P.M. headed to the Lobster House for lunch. The two of us shared a cup of New England clam chowder and both had salmon, two shrimp, asparagus covered with hollandaise sauce and a loaf of bread. The meal was awesome but very filling. The sun came out so Mike and I walked to downtown Cape May which is filled with Victorian homes on the outskirts and all types of shops downtown very similar to the City Market in Savannah Georgia so the two of us decided to come back to the area to shop on Friday. We found a liquor store to buy some beer heading back to the marina.  By the time the two of us got back to the marina the temperatures had warmed up so we were very warm, hence we headed to the flying bridge. The clouds moved in and the temperatures dropped again so the two of us headed back inside the boat. The radar is showing thunderstorms this evening and then the winds are going to pick up with sustained winds in the high teens and gusts in the high 20's. The talk up and down the dock amongst the other loopers is about using the New Jersey Intercoastal Waterway which is not advised, as it's very shallow. Mike and I had talked that we are going to wait for a good day to go outside from Cape May to Atlantic City which at this time isn't looking like that is going to happen until next Wednesday.
Very popular place that loopers like to experience.
