Isle of Palms Marina in Isle of Palms, South Carolina

Day #306:  Overnight there was a small amount of rain that passed through Isle of Palms.  Mike and I were up at 5:00 A.M. to check on the weather as the winds were to be gusting to 30+ with heavy thunderstorms. The two of us decided not to travel today but to stay in Isle of Palms one more night to let the weather improve. During coffee, grapefruit and cookies there was rain and gusty winds. Mike worked with the Isle of Palms Marina to secure another night for "Parrot Bay" while I called Harborwalk Marina in Georgetown cancelling Sundays reservation but making a reservation for Monday. I also called  Myrtle Beach Yacht Club later to let them know that "Parrot Bay would not be there on Monday but on Tuesday for only one night. I did some cleaning of the boat then it was time for paperwork for both Mike and I.  After chores the two of us headed to the flying bridge for reading as there was a great breeze. There were not as many boats in and out of the boat launch today as there was on Saturday but Mike and I did get to watch the boats. Mid-afternoon the two of us walked through the Marina Market which is huge what we would call a mall lots of clothing, food, snacks, beer, pop, children's toys, knick knacks etc. After it was back up to the flying bridge for more reading. At 5:30 P.M. I made personal size pizzas onboard the boat. After dinner it was time for Sunday night phone calls followed by blogging and reading.

One of my favorite candy bars when I was a kid. I believe that you can't be in Charleston and not have a Charleston Chew.
