Homer-Smith Marina in Beaufort, North Carolina

Day #313: HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY.  From last night I beat Mike at cribbage. The two of us were up at 6:30 A.M. for coffee, grapefruit and cinnamon rolls while watching the local news. Rain and thunderstorms predicted for today some could be severe. The two of us packed up items that we will be taking home this week. We have lots of stuff so much that I wish that we would have rented a bit large vehicle. I definitely overpacked on books and clothes. Mike and I ran into Steve from "It's Someday" he introduced us to James and Mary Jane (M.J.) on "Late Harvest". As the five of us were talking the rain began sending everyone scurrying to their boats. Mike and I had lunch onboard the boat followed by navigation planning and paperwork.  After a thunderstorm, wind and rain we walked into Beaufort visiting the North Carolina Maritime Museum where they had a large display around Black Beard and pirates. The two of us then headed into a few stores. The town was very busy as there was a triathlon in town today. Mike and I headed back to the boat as more rain and storms were moving back into the area. Mike made popcorn for happy hour so the two of us enjoyed drinks and snacks while the rain moved into Beaufort. We did FaceTime with my parents then Mike talked to Mark, Amanda and Mom/Dad Boynton. After Sunday night phone calls it was time for blogging and reading.

Patty, thanks to Amanda for the text and Mark for the phone call on Mother's Day.
Happy Mother's Day to Patty Boynton Sr.
