Day #308: Happy Birthday to ME! The two of us were up at 5:15 A.M. for departure. Engines were on at 6:05 A.M. the boat was away from the dock at 6:12 A.M. Beautiful morning clear with a temperature of 70 degrees. At 10:45 A.M. Mwe passed the Socastee Swing Bridge with no delay. For most of the day it was trees and wilderness for the trip. At 1:00 P.M. "Parrot Bay" was at the Barefoot Landing Swing Bridge, Mike verified the height with the bridge tender, which was 30 feet of clearance so there was no need to have the bridge open. At 1:05 P.M. "Parrot Bay" was passed by a United States Air Force Police boat. They didn't stop us (Whew!). At 1:10 P.M. Mike and I were in the middle of the "rock pile" which is lots of rock in the water and along the edge of the waterway. You hope that you don't hit a rock which we didn't hit any rocks (Whew again!). At 1:30 P.M. Mike hailed the Little River Swing Bridge for an opening which again there was not wait. At 2:00 P.M. "Parrot Bay" was secure at Myrtle Beach Yacht Club. All was going great until there was only partial voltage in the breaker panel. I was very worried when Mike said "this is really bad". Before we even went to pay our bill at the marina office Mike worked on our voltage issue he found the issue and he was able to fix the issue (Whew, Whew, Whew). Mike and I headed up to the flying bridge for birthday happy hour. Mike and I headed to a restaurant next to the yacht club called Clark's Seafood & Chop House. We had been told by Karen from "Island Girl" that we needed to try She-crab soup but we hadn't found a restaurant that was open that had the soup until today. The two of us started our meal with She-crab soup which was awesome. We then had sea bass for dinner which was great. After dinner it was time for the two of us to head back to the boat for reading and blogging. Back on the water in the morning heading for Southport, North Carolina.
