Cumberland Island, Georgia to Morningstar Golden Isle at St. Simons Island, Georgia

Day #295: From last evening "Parrot Bay" swung 360 degrees through the night.  The anchor alarm went off multiple times, not because the anchor was dragging but it was sensitive to the swinging of the boat from the tidal reverse. Mike was up multiple times to make sure that the boat's anchor didn't drag. The two were up at 5:30 A.M. to prepare the boat for departure. Beautiful morning sunny and 62 degrees. The engines were on at 6:30 A.M. and the anchor was up at 6:45 A.M. and underway. At 7:30 A.M. Mike and I passed Kings Bay Naval Submarine Base . At 8:21 A.M. "Parrot Bay" was at the western most point of the Atlantic Intercoastal Waterway. At 9:35 A.M. we were at St. Andrew's Sound where it felt like they were heading out into the Atlantic ocean but they were still on the Intercoastal Waterway. "Parrot Bay" passed the dredge "Rock Island" in the Jeckyl Island Creek at 10:30 A.M.  prior to the dredge Mike saw a low of 5.5 feet of water. At 11:20 A.M. we were secure on the face dock of Morningstar Golden Isle at St. Simon's Island in front of "Fratt House". "Parrot Bay" traveled 37.7 miles today (3,025 miles total for the trip). After a quick lunch Mike headed to the pool while I laid down to rest. Mike talked to Sue and Joe from "Fratt House" plans for docktails at 5:00 P.M. with dinner at 6:00 P.M at the onsite restaurant along with "Chrysalis" who arrived at the marina in the afternoon as well. Before dinner Mike worked on navigation for Thursday and I worked on the blog. Docktails were had at 5:00 P.M. with dinner at 6:00 P.M. at the Coastal Kitchen Restaurant and Bar.
