Cocoa Village Marina in Cocoa, FL to New Smyrna Beach City Marina, FL

THE FIRST COAST

Day #286: From last evening I beat Mike at cribbage. The two of us were up at 5:30 A.M. to get ready for departure. Mike started the engines at 6:50 A.M. At 7:00 A.M. Mike and Bill from "First Forty" assisted Mike from "Dash Away" to get off the dock. Then Bill helped Mike and I get off the dock at 7:15 A.M. At 7:45 A.M. "Parrot Bay" passed by Titusville, FL. At 11:00 A.M. we cleared Haulover Canal after seeing multiple manatee, dolphins and fisherman heading into Mosquito Lagoon. There is a stretch from Bethune Beach to Edgewater which is all no wake due to manatee zone and were there manatee!!! Mike and I saw at least 25 manatee during this stretch along with numerous dolphins. At 1:50 P.M. "Parrot Bay" was secure at New Smyrna Beach City Marina after traveling 52.1 miles (2848 miles total for the trip). The two of us worked on boat jobs in preparation for tomorrows departure to Marineland. The two took a short walk to the historic district of New Smyrna followed by happy hour on the flying bridge. Sherry from "Cha Cha" asked Mike and I if we would like to join the group for dinner at 6:00 P.M. which they gladly accepted the offer. At 6:00 P.M. 10 people took two Ubers to "The Garlic" restaurant in New Smyrna Beach. The restaurant was very unique and the group had a great time. After taking Ubers back to the marina it was time for blogging and Mike talked to Mark at 9:00 P.M.
