Aquamarina Palm Harbour Marina in Cape Haze, Florida

Day #259: From last evening Mike beat me at cribbage. Rain throughout the night. The two of us were up at 6:45 A.M. for coffee, grapefruit, lemon poppy seed muffins and cookies. No need to rush for the two of us this morning as it was raining steady. We changed the sheets on the bed, worked on route planning and I cleaned the head (bathroom). The rain was scattered in the afternoon but much needed. I was able to talk to a very good friend Robin while Mike read his book. While waiting for the rain to begin again I started 3 loads of laundry. At 6:30 P.M. it was time for dinner onboard which was chicken noodle soup and toasted swiss cheese sandwiches which was a great warmer upper. At 7:30 P.M. laundry.
For those of you planning on Looping (or our just interested) a few items that Mike and I are using as they route plan are the following (some are new some are ones that they used prior):
ICW Cruising Guide by Bob423 on Facebook-this is a closed group that you need to be accepted. They post information for traveling the waterways of the east coast.
2018 ICW Cruising Guide by Bob 423-book that Mike and Patty just purchased on Amazon.
The Looper Companion Guide by Captain John-this is a new book that was just published.
Marinas: Along the Intracoastal Waterway by Skipper Bob Publications
Anchorages: Along the Intracoastal Waterway by Skipper Bob Publications
Water Guide: Southern 2018: Florida, The Keys and Gulf Coast
Waterway Website for information on marinas, anchorages, bridges and locks.
ICW & Atlantic Coast 2018 Mile by Mile and Planning Guide
Great Loop Navigation Notes by Captain Alan Lloyd
Navionics: is the application that Mike and I used on the rivers while they were traveling and found that it was very helpful so they have put it on a larger iPad to use with their two Garmin units.
Hard to believe that it has been two years of retirement as of today.
