Aquamarina Palm Harbour Marina Cape Haze, Florida
Day #236: From last night Mike and I did a FaceTime with Mom and Dad Burdo. Just after completing the call I heard yelling and saw someone running down the dock. It occurred a second time yelling and a person running down the dock that is when I realized that it was the gentleman from the boat next to us that was yelling his dog Cody had fallen into the water. The dog had cut the corner short approaching the dock and fell into the water. Cody did start swimming toward the "Parrot Bay" so I told Steve our neighbor to climb on our boat so that he could reach Cody. Steve got out onto swim platform of the "Parrot Bay" and he was able to reach Cody, pulling him out of the water. Steve told Mike and I that Cody has dementia and is an older dog. Steve was able to lift Cody onto the well deck where he seemed okay, Steve was shaken up but was very appreciative to the two of us for the help. After the excitement Mike beat me at cribbage. Mike and I were up at 6:00 A.M. for coffee, grapefruit, banana bread and ginger cookies. Mike got the grocery cart down from the flying bridge. The two of us headed to Publix to get groceries. We returned to the "Parrot Bay" putting away their groceries before heading to the pool. After reading a bit by the pool we had lunch onboard the boat. During lunch i looked out the window to see a dolphin by the "Parrot Bay". We were joined by Ed, Kyle, David and Jan for the afternoon at the pool. There was cloud cover throughout the afternoon, temperatures was 83 degrees and when the cloud cover cleared it was hot. Just before dinner it got very cloudy and hazy outside. Mike and I made nachos for dinner onboard the "Parrot Bay." As the two of us were cleaning up dinner the haze started to clear with a visual of the sun. After dinner it was time for blogging for me and guitar playing for Mike.
