Aquamarina Palm Harbour Marina in Cape Haze, Florida
Day #201: Heavy rain in the overnight hours. Up at 6:30 A.M. for coffee, grapefruit and cookies. Mike and I walked to the Publix for exercise. Upon returning to the boat Mike worked on the teak to get rid of the mold. I started packing food and supplies to move to the condo at 3:00 P.M. Larry from "The Camelot" stopped by to check in on Mike and myself. At noon Mike and I had everything packed up and ready to move. Mike worked on a couple of additional boat jobs such as the wet well for the depth finder. The engines were also started the starboard reverse was checked to make sure that it was working. The engines were run for a bit since the fuel filters have been changed. Both Mike and I agreed that moving off the boat for 5 days is definitely harder than expected. The winds increased throughout the afternoon sustained at 20 miles per hour with gust to 30 miles per hour. At 2:40 P.M. Mike and I walked to the Palm Island Resort office which is located across the street from the condos/marina/Leverocks restaurant. Our packet of information for the condo was in the office box so we grabbed two carts from the marina filling both carts with all of our stuff that we had packed on the boat. Both carts were taken to the condo and emptied. Mike ran back to the boat to grab the food in the refrigerators while I worked on unpacking the bags that we had brought from the boat. By 3:30 P.M. all of the food and gear had been put away in the condo. It was than time to get ready for cocktail hour at 5:00 P.M. Ed/Kyle, David/Jan, Bruce/Bev (Bruce's sister Karen and cousin Deb) came to the condo for beverages and snacks. At 8:00 P.M. the last of the guests headed home. Mike made a couple of runs to the boat for a few items while I cleaned up. The dishwasher was run and laundry was started. It was time for reading and blogging.
