Day #196: Up at 6:00 A.M. for one more load of laundry. After the laundry was started it was time for coffee, grapefruit, mini blueberry muffins and cookies. After laundry was completed it was time for the two of us to walk to the Publix for some exercise and groceries. At 9:30 A.M. when Mike and I returned to the boat we both started on boat jobs. I washed floors while Mike worked on the depth finder. After an hour Mike stated that another day he was going to have to spend more time in the engine room to work on the depth finder. We have been noticing that the boat has been listing to port (left) so Mike emptied out port (left) side lazarette so that he could get into the steering space to move one of the spare props as both were stowed on the port side (left side). The props are very heavy so the starboard (right) lazarette had to be emptied as well. While Mike was in the steering space he thought that the bilge pump in that space wasn't working. He had a spare but once he got the old one out it did indeed work. After Mike put the old bilge pump back into the steering space he concluded that he needed to spend more time in the engine room working on that bilge pump as well. After all of the gear was successfully re-stowed in the lazarettes it was time for lunch onboard. The afternoon was spent reading books as it was only 61 degrees, sunny and windy. Dinner was brats and baked beans. After dinner clean up it was time for reading, blogging and a quiet evening.
Stick bug very unhappy due the cool morning temperatures. Only in the mid-50's wait until tomorrow only going to be in the mid-40's. |
