Day #156: Up at 6:20 A.M. for coffee, grapefruit, cookies and lemon poppy seed muffins. Cold morning here in Florida with temperatures at 48 degrees, clear and sunny. Mike and I walked to ACE Hardware and Publix as we are working on Christmas gifts. Hard to get into the holiday spirit here in Florida. We did find the Mannheim Steamroller Channel 30 on Sirius XM radio that is helping to get us into the spirit. We headed back to the boat after a 3.95 miles walk. Mike working on a wiring project on the flying bridge. Mike has found that if he turns on the electronics on the flying bridge before starting the engines when he does the electronics shut down. He is working on fixing this issue as he can now have the electronics up and running (this takes a bit of time) before starting the engines which will aid in us getting off quicker in the morning when we are traveling. In the mid-afternoon we had a husband and wife diver team come to "Parrot Bay" to inspect the running gear, zincs and clean the bottom of our boat while in the water. Mike was given the report that everything looked really good on "Parrot Bay" that they observed under the water. Mike was also told that we should only need the hull inspected and cleaned every other month. At 2:40 P.M. I went on-line booking a Lyft driver to pick me up at the marina taking me to the salon where I had my hair and nails done. Tara did a great job on my nails. After the appointment Patty requested a return trip to the marina using Lyft. Bruce had asked Mike to help with a oil filter change on "Bay Tripper" as the space was very small. Mike was able to wiggle into the small space to help Bruce. At 5:00 P.M. Bev, Bruce, Mike and I had happy hour on "Bay Tripper". At 6:10 P.M. we headed back to "Parrot Bay" to have leftovers of beans and brats for dinner. After dinner clean up Mike and I prepared for a morning beach walk as the plan is to take the dinghy over to Don Pedro State Park. Time for quiet time of blogging and reading on "Parrot Bay".
