Green Turtle Bay Resort in Grand Rivers, KY

Day #94: Happy 1st Anniversary to our son Mark and daughter-in-law Leah. Up at 6:30 A.M. for coffee, gingersnaps and maple cookies. Mike and I finally both had a goodnights sleep as there was no clunking of trees on our hull. This morning I found the reason for the name here Green Turtle Bay as there are turtles large, medium and small. There is even a feeding area so when you are watching the turtles they think that you are going to feed them so they come up to the surface and pose very nicely for pictures. Mike and I worked on boat jobs while it was cool. Bev and I booked the rental car this afternoon as the four of us are going on a road trip to Paducah, KY. At 10:00 A.M. Bruce, Bev, Mike and I sat down looking ahead to our plans for when we leave Grand Rivers, KY. We booked nights at Paris Landing State Park in TN, Cuba Landing Marina in TN, Clifton Marna in TN and Grand Harbor Marina in TN. This will get us to October 27th allowing Bruce and Bev to go home for a wedding, They are going to leave their boat in Clifton meeting Mike and I at Grand Harbor when they return.  Mike hooked up the cable that is supplied by the marina as we are trying to get ready to watch Michigan play foot ball of Saturday. Mike, Bruce and Bev went to the marine store onsite. At 2:00 P.M. we left in the courtesy van heading toward Paducah, KY. We stopped at a hardware and auto parts store. At 3:10 P.M. we went to the National Quilt Museum which was awesome. The four of us than headed towards the water as there is a mural of Paducah's history painted on the levee walls. We went to a Mexican restaurant for dinner. While we were there Bev got a text from "Island Girl" who needed to drop off a rental car in Paducah wondering if we could give them a ride back to the marina. We met "Island Girl" at Walmart where all six of us went shopping followed by a trip to Enterprise. We then headed back to the marina. Time for blogging and reading.
Happy 1st Anniversary Mark and Leah.

The turtles think that you are going to feed them so they are come right up to the top.

Hence, the name of the marina Green Turtle Bay.

The marina store sells turtle food so that you can feed the turtles.
