Day #111: Up at 6:40 A.M. for coffee, grapefruit and cookies. Very foggy here at the marina with temperatures at 47 degrees. At 8:30 A.M. the sun is starting to show through and the fog is starting to slowly lift. The boats that were leaving today are still in their slips waiting for the fog to lift. At around 9:15 A.M. the Looper boats at Grand Harbor started to head out as the fog lifted. Mike worked on our itinerary to Mobile, AL while I looked at marinas in Mobile that we might want to stay at while we are there. When anchoring we have had issues with our anchor rode dislodging from the track as we swing we hear a "bang" as the anchor rode moves. Mike worked on getting this issue fixed. We went for a walk about 11:30 A.M. it was much warmer than what we had expected so we headed back to the boat to launch the dinghy. Mike suggested that we try to find the waterfall the Nancy and Greg had mentioned. At 12:00 P.M. we launched the dinghy heading toward Pickwick Lake. Pickwick Lake is absolutely beautiful and we found Yellow Creek waterfall which is amazing. We headed back to Yellow Creek past the marina. We went to look at the anchorage that Nancy and Greg had stayed in on Friday. We headed to the Tenn-Tom canal checking out where we will be traveling this Saturday. We headed back to the boat and there were looper boats coming in for the evening. Mike and I were invited to join Mike and Linda on "Branch Office " for docktails where we also met Chuck and Peggy from "Paradise". We had a great evening. Time now for blogging for me and phone calls for Mike.

More beautiful rock formations. Beautiful eagle. |
Mooring ring for a barge fleeting area. It looks like this hasn't been used by a barge in a very long time. |
Mike wants to know how long this is going to stay up. |

Beautiful anchorage just down from Grand Harbor Marina: "Zippy Cove". |
Tenn-Tom Canal was hand made you can tell by the rock that it is not natural. It has boring and blasting marks. |
