Grafton Harbor in Grafton, IL

Day #84: Up at 6:30 A.M. for coffee, grapefruit and mini cinnamon rolls. Cloudy, humid and hazy this morning.  Mike to call Alton Marina for update on water levels. We are going to wait until Wednesday to move to Alton Marina as we are suppose to get rain and storms. From what we are hearing it sounds like there is going to be multiple boats leaving on Sunday for Hoppies so I called confirming our reservation of "Parrot Bay" and "Baytripper".  I got to talk to Fern and we are all set. Sunday will be exciting, we will be passing the St. Louis arch on our way to Hoppies. Mike and I went for a walk in town and we went to Uncle Andy's Country Market.  They had jams, salsa, vegetables and crafts. We bought some salsa for docktails. We walked back to the boat grabbed the backpacks heading to the Grafton Market for a few items. It was hot when the sun came out but there were clouds as well. We played two games of cribbage, Mike won both games. The clouds decreased so we headed to the pool. The water was a bit chilly when the sun was behind the clouds but great when the sun came out. At 2:30 P.M. the sun came out permanently which made the pool feel great. We left at 4:30 P.M. heading back to the boat. Just after getting back from the showers a looper boat a Carver 40+ foot was trying to back into the fairway to get to his slip he hit our anchor which put a scrape in the gelcoat of his boat. The guy who was not driving the boat as they got away from our boat expressed the fact that our boat was fine that they had gelcoat damage and that the Carver was a brand new boat. We watched as the captain on the Carver struggled getting his boat into the slip with two staff from the marina on the dock. Time for blogging, guitar playing and reading for the evening. The plan as of now is to have a leisurely morning tomorrow followed by a 12 mile trip to Alton.
Uncle Andy's in downtown Grafton.

Saw this little guy on our way back from the grocery store.

Frolicking one last time in the Grafton Harbor swimming pool.
