Grafton Harbor in Grafton, IL

Day #79: From last evening Mike and I played one game of cribbage-Mike won. Up at 6:20 A.M. for coffee, nectarine and gingersnaps/maple cookies. Mike and I discussed the fact that both of us at times feel like we should be moving south. We both agree that we need to take our time as we can't be to Demopolis, Alabama until mid-November due to hurricane season. If we were moving everyday we would be in Demopolis within the next two weeks. Hence, we need to stop and enjoy towns along the way for extended time frames. I did check the Atlantic yesterday there was a very small disturbance that hasn't even been named yet (and it may not even be a named storm) so all is good on that front. Another reason to stay is that we are hearing that the Ohio River is almost unnavigable "whole forests were moving down the Ohio" as a result of Hurricane Florence. We are also wanting to travel with our traveling buddies "Baytripper" who will be leaving today as they are renting a car heading home to Minnesota for the weekend.  We will meet up with them in Alton. Mike is working this morning on travel daily travel plans for the next couple of weeks. Once we pass Hoppies Marine we will either tie to lock walls/anchor for 3-4 days as there is a lack of infrastructure and the days will be long travel days. Going to be a hot one today 95 degrees, sunny and high humidity (103 heat index). The heat is suppose to break tomorrow with a bit of rain in the forecast. Mike worked on some condo business getting ready for the condo meeting tonight that we will be participating in via speaker phone. We went to the pool for the afternoon. We met couple that are doing half of the loop then they are stopping in the Caribbean. Mike and I participated in our condo association meeting via phone at 5:30 P.M. (CT). Time for blogging and reading.

Blueberry pomegranate wine slushy. I'm missing Bev from "Baytripper" today.

Tow going by this afternoon, The interesting thing is that this is small compared to                                                         what we are going to see in the Mississippi.
