Day #69: Up at 6:30 A.M. for coffee, nectarine and pecan Kringle (we bought it at the IGA in Ottawa yesterday). We walked over to talk to Mark and Lezlie from "Antonia" they got into Heritage Harbor Marina at midnight as they got held up in the locks yesterday. We washed the boat getting rid of remnants from the Joliet wall and locks. We are going to get together at 4 P.M. today with the other boats that are planning on leaving Tuesday morning. Mike is taking the lead tomorrow so he has put together an information sheet with all of the information that the boats will need tomorrow as we move down the river including lock information, anchorages, marinas and distance etc. Hurricane Florence has just gone to a CAT 3 the east coast is bracing for the hurricane. Continuing to watch Isaac's path towards the Lesser Antilles. I made a new chip dip while Mike played the guitar. Mike talked to Amanda. We played two games of cribbage we each one a game. At 4:00 P.M. we headed up to the Tiki Bar (it was closed so we sat at the table and chairs) "Baytripper", "Let's Go"' and "Antonia" (their guests Larry and Rose) had docktails. "Antonia" at 5:00 P.M. headed to the captain's talk they are planning on leaving on their own on Tuesday at 9:00 A.M. to get their guests to a rental car. "Baytripper", "Let's Go" and us will be leaving at 6:30 A.M. after we call the Starved Rock Lock & Dam to see when they will be able to get us through the lock. At 7:45 P.M. we headed back to the boat. Mike talked to his Mom and Dad. We are getting our gear together for tomorrow as we are heading to Peoria.
