Reef Point Marina in Racine, WI
Day #50: Up at 6:30 A.M. for coffee, peach and banana bread. Sunny, breeze and cool. This is the first day in a few weeks where the humidity is way down and it feels like fall. Mike working on our electrical project. Boat cleaning for me. While Mike was working on our electrical project we found that we had fresh water leaking under our sink in the galley-one more item to fix. Mike was able to successfully deploy switches to both of the 3-way refrigerators so that when we get underway he doesn't have to move the refrigerators to unplug them. When we get underway we can simply change the refrigerators from 120V to 12V using the new switches. We also fixed the leak under the sink. While we were working I received a text from "Tug LeeLoo" asking if there was anything that we needed or if we needed a ride anywhere. I responded to Nancy that we were good. She texted me back asking if we would be interested in getting together for a chat. Mike and I invited Nancy and Carey over to our boat as they had not toured our boat. We decided on docktails and Hors dourves at 4:30 P.M. We cleaned up the boat. I made cream cheese, cocktail and crab meat dip. Nancy and Carey joined us on our boat. We had a great time they are so easy to talk to and willing to share their adventures. They left about 6:30 P.M. Mike and I finished up the dip for dinner as neither of us were hungry. Mike and I had one more drink up on the flying bridge as it was beautiful with no humidity. Time for blogging. Hoping to do some sightseeing tomorrow going to some museums and zoo.

Doing projects on boats means that you are working in tight spaces and gear/supplies end up all over the boat until the project is complete. |
