Harbor Centre Marina, Sheboygan, WI to Port Washington Marina in Port Washington, WI
Day #44: Up at 6:00 A.M. for coffee, peaches and banana bread. We watched the local weather and monitored the winds. The weather was overcast and calm. We had the boat ready to get underway at 7:30 A.M. At 8:10 A.M. we were at the fuel dock in Sheboygan we took on 60 gallons of diesel. At 8:30 A.M. we were underway with the Tug "Kevin C. Kane:"and barge ahead of us as we left the break wall. At 10:10 A.M. we encountered multiple fish nets. At 12:25 P.M. we were secured at Port Washington Marina in slip 432. We traveled 28.9 miles today (519 total for the trip). We only have 5,000 miles to go. Here in the Port Washington they have a portable pump out for the black water tank so they come to your slip to do the pump out. Mike and I washed the outside of the boat. Mike and I headed back to the flying bridge for happy hour. We have a beautiful view of the water from the flying bridge. For those of you who are new to this blog Port Washington was where Mike and I decided to turn around last year when Hurricane Irma hit Florida, That was September 9, 2017. Mike and I left Manitowoc, WI on September 12th not stopping until September 14th when we got back to Bay Harbor in Bay City, MI. Back to this year: Mike and I worked on a couple of bumpers as we are going to need extra bumpers when we get to the locks. At 5:30 A.M. Mike and I participated in our condo association meeting via speaker phone. After the meeting Mike and I walked the main street here in Port Washington, not much has changed here since a year ago. Possible rain tonight and it remains very warm and humid.

One cool thing about Port Washington is that they have a Duluth Trading Co.
This is the main street in Port Washington one street over from the marina.
Port Washington has numerous beautiful parks with flowers and benches that allow you to see the water.
"The Fisherman"
Last year this statue was covered up by grass it took Mike and I sometime to find it this year there are flowers
but no tall grass hiding the statue. Pictures of this statue are found all over Port Washington. |
