Gordon Yacht Harbour in Bobcaygeon, ON

Day #386: Mike and I were up at 6:30 A.M. after a great nights sleep. The two of us had coffee, grapefruit and cookies for breakfast while watching the local news. Mike looked at the next few stops on the Trent-Severn Waterway while I worked on the blog. At 9:00 A.M the office opened so Mike wanted to get "Parrot Bay's" black water tank emptied but at the time it wasn't working. Jodi, the harbormaster made a few phone calls and she was able to get the information to fix the pump out. While we were waiting other boats started lining up to get fuel. Finally "Parrot Bay" was pumped out then John, Gina, Mike and I re-rafted "Parrot Bay" to "Alysana". "Impulse Power" was next in line to be pumped out.  Meanwhile "The Lower Place came up the canal and also got in line for a pump out. The line of boats didn't stop.  They kept getting in line for fuel, water and pump out.  It was non-stop and very busy. "Parrot Bay" was waiting for a boat to move out of the slip so that we could un-raft and get into that slip. At 11:00 A.M. finally "Parrot Bay's" slip came available so Mike and I with the help of John moved "Parrot Bay".  After repositioning the "Parrot Bay" Mike and I headed out to do some shopping.  We stopped at the Foodland to get a few grocery items. The two of us headed towards the Beer Store but came upon The Original Just for the Halibut Fish & Chips and More Restaurant. The two of us both had halibut lunches which were awesome. After lunch we headed to the beer store to replenish the beer supply. The two of us then headed back to the boat. Mike put the dinghy in the water as we have not used the dinghy since Cumberland Island, GA. The outboard motor started without any issues. We headed into Pigeon Lake thinking that we were going to swim but the wind started picking up so we headed back towards the marina. After putting away the dinghy I worked on a bit of paperwork before the two of us headed up to the flying bridge for happy hour. At 4:30 P.M. the two of us headed to the Kawartha Dairy Ice Cream/Milk/Dairy Products where for over 80 years Kwartha Dairy has been 100% Canadian-owned company, operated by the same family that started it back in the beginning. Bobcaygeon, Ontario remains the headquarters where it was founded. I bought some Empire cheese, the two of us then each had ice cream/milk shakes before heading back to the boat. At 6:50 P.M. John, Gina, Mike and I had after dinner drinks on the dock.  Mike and I then started preparing for Wednesdays trip.  The two of us are undecided where we are going to stop on Wednesday.  We are going to see how the locks go deciding when to stop.

My halibut lunch at The Original Just for the Halibut Fish & Chips and More Restaurant.

There is a new British store in Bobcaygeon so Mike stopped in to look for a hat band. I couldn't help herself she needed a picture.

Just beautiful places near the marina.

The wall in Bobcaygeon full mid-afternoon.

The wall near the blue line was also packed.

Gordon Yacht Harbour have what they call Bunkies. People can rent the small houses that float under covered slips.

Mike about to enjoy some Kawartha ice cream.
