Trip Home to Michigan.

Day #318: Mike and I were up at 6:30 A.M. for coffee, grapefruit and magic bars (the other half-they are delicious). The two of us worked on a few jobs around the condo. At 9:00 A.M. I headed out for a nail appointment while Mike headed out to run a few errands. I went to Fashion Square Mall to do a bit of shopping. Shopping malls are sure a thing of the past.  I was shocked that the mall was even open as there are hardly any shops left.  Mike headed back to the condo. At 12:30 P.M. I met up with Rose (my mom), Krista (my sister), Andy (my brother-in-law), Maria (my niece) and Jan (Andy's mom) at Peace Lutheran School for Maria's music festival. At 1:30 P.M. Maria had a piano solo which she rocked.  She received the highest rating 1+. The music judge was very complementary of her piano solo. I headed home where Mike and I had macaroni and cheese for lunch/dinner. At 4:30 P.M. it was time for the two of us to started getting ready for Maria's confirmation questioning at 6:30 P.M. at St. Peter Lutheran Church. The Confirmation Questioning went very well. After church Mike and I headed over to my Mom and Dad's house for bit before heading back to Frankenmuth for the evening.

Maria at Music Festival at Peace Lutheran School in Saginaw, MI.

Maria getting feedback on her piano solo. This is the same judge from last year. She gave Maria some minor critiques but overall she was very pleased with the way that she played her music. Maria received a 1+ (which is the highest ranking at the music festival).

Pastor Morris had asked Maria her first question she is reciting the answer.

Questioning concluded time for pictures.
