Day #246: From last night Mike beat me at cribbage (skunk). The two of us were up at 6:40 A.M. for coffee, mini lemon poppy seed muffins, grapefruit and gingersnap cookies. Mike and I got ready for our day trip today to see the Tampa Bay Rays versus Baltimore Orioles spring training game at Charlotte Sports Park with Ken and Karen ("Island Girl"). At 11:00 A.M. Ken and Karen picked up us up and the four of us headed to the ballpark. Mike and I had no idea just how close the ballpark was and that we had driven by the stadium on our trips into Port Charlotte. The four of us got to the ballpark early so that we could watch batting practice from the tiki bar that was out in center field. Karen and I had "rum buckets" that were awesome. After the game started the four of us headed to our seats that were on the first base line. The Rays lost 8-6 to the Orioles. After the game our group headed out to the car setting up chairs to have snacks while the traffic thinned out. Once the traffic cleared the four of us headed to Aquamarina. Ken and Karen joined Mike and I on the "Parrot Bay" for more conversation, beverages and snacks. At 8:00 P.M. Ken and Karen headed back to Sarasota. We had just an awesome time with our friends today. We can't thank them enough for inviting us on a very fun excursion.
