Day #262: From last evening I beat Mike at cribbage. The two of us were up at 6:30 A.M. for coffee, mini blueberry muffins, grapefruit and cookies. I did some organizing of our books. Clearly I was who brought way to may books on this trip (9 boxes). Mike and I both found that book libraries at the marina, suggestions of book titles from other boaters and trip materials leads to enough reading material on this year long trip. Bring some reading along is advised but 9 boxes were definitely to many books. Mike worked on a few boat jobs. At 11:00 A.M. I called Enterprise so that Mike and her could be picked up to get our rental car that we have rented for one week so that we can re-provision prior to leaving Aquamarina starting our trek towards home. At 12:00 P.M. saw Betsy, Sue, David and Jan who all offered that if we needed to be taken anywhere to please let them know. At 12:15 P.M. Mike and I were still waiting for Enterprise so I called and was told that it would be at least until 1:30 P.M. before they would be picked up. Just then Betsy from "Hadley" walked up asking if she could help. Betsy took Mike and I to the Enterprise office to pick up the rental the two of us couldn't have been more grateful. After picking up the rental Mike and I headed to Gulf Coast Hardware which is a great hardware store with a large marina section. After leaving the hardware the two of us headed to West Marine in Venice for a few items. After leaving West Marine we headed to Publix for a few grocery items. The two of us than headed back to the marina. Upon our return to the marina we headed to the pool for a bit. It was sunny, 72 degrees and breezy which made for great reading but not so much pool weather as it was cool. After dinner it was time for Mike and I to blog and read.
"Crusin Tiki" was brought into the marina this evening. It is a business that is traveling from Bradenton, FL to Bonita Springs, FL. |
