Day #154: Up at 6:00 A.M. for coffee, grapefruit and sweet treats. Mike needed a few items at the hardware so Mike and I headed to ACE. After getting back to "Parrot Bay" we cleaned off the outside of the boat with fresh water. Interesting just how hard the salt water is on the outside of boats. I cleaned the windows once the boat had been rinsed down. At 12:30 P.M. we launched the dinghy heading out to explore. Across from Aquamarina is Palm Island so we explored the waterways of Palm Island. After Palm Island, Mike and I got back into the intercostal waterway heading to Don Pedro Island. In the middle of the intercoastal a manatee was spotted. We found a very nice dock on Don Pedro Island a State Park where we tied up the dinghy heading out to explore the beach. There was a very nice covered facility with restroom and grills on the way to the beach. Once on the beach Mike and I found beautiful sand, shark teeth and shells. It was decided that this was going to be a great place only 2 miles from the marina to bring the dinghy for a day at the beach. WE headed back to the marina at 4:00 P.M. we had the dinghy and supplies all put away. While having happy hour I mentioned to Mike about calling Bruce and Bev to walk to the Placida Grill for dinner, Bruce and Bev both accepted so the four of us walked the mile to have dinner. I enjoyed fried shrimp and Mike had swordfish. The four of us walked back to the boats. Time for a quiet evening of blogging, crafting and reading.
One of the boats at Aquamarina has two pets one is a dog and the other is a pig.

While exploring Palm Island Mike and Patty came to a row of palm trees that were just beautiful.

One of Patty's favorite pictures.

Blue heron sitting on a dock structure on Palm Island.

There are beautiful homes and cottages on Palm Island.

                                                        Another place on Palm Island.

Osprey and dinner.

This is as close to a picture today of a manatee for today. The manatee are almost more camera shy than dolphin.

Beautiful dock structure on Don Pedro Island. Mike and I docked the dinghy headed for a walk on the island.

Mike and I checking out Don Pedro Island State Park.

There are nature trails on Don Pedro Island on the trail was this tortoise.

Cute sign that is displayed on Don Pedro Island.
