Day #160: Up at 6:30 A.M. laundry started as it is becoming busier here at the marina and more difficult to get laundry done. After laundry was started Mike and I had coffee, grapefruit and sweet treats. I noticed on NEBO that "Houlegan Again" was traveling between Sarasota and Cape Haze so I texted Caryl. She texted back that they were headed home to Cape Coral which would mean that they would be crossing their wake (Ray and Caryl will be displaying a platinum flag as this is their second Great Loop Adventure). I told Caryl to text me when they were going by Aquamarina. At 9:50 A.M. I received the text that they were getting close so they were told to wave and smile as Mike and I would be waiting out on the dock as they went by which was at 9:59 A.M. Mike and I wrapped Christmas gifts including gifts for this Saturday night as it is Christmas party here at Aquamarina for the liveaboards. We loaded up heading to the ACE Hardware, post office and Publix. The post office was crazy busy. The two of us waited for approximately 25 minutes in line to mail our gifts. At 12:30 P.M. Mike and I returned back to "Parrot Bay" after walking 4.04 miles. We finished wrapping gifts. The two of us tried to sit on the flying bridge Mike playing the guitar and me reading but it was cold and windy so we both went back into the cabin. Happy hour was in the cabin as it was too cold outside. I took a small siesta. When I woke up there was a box for the two of them from Mom Burdo and Kris Hagarty (Patty's sister) which included home made treats, candy and Christmas decorations. Mike and I talked to Audrey back home from our condo association for a bit. Dinner was left overs of spaghetti and bread. After clean up time for reading and blogging.
PARROT BAY'S GREAT LOOP ADVENTURE 2: The Great Loop is a 5,500 mile trip will include the Great Lakes (Lake Huron and Lake Michigan Shore), Illinois River, Mississippi River, Ohio River, Tenn-Tom Waterway to Mobile, wintering in Florida, Atlantic Intercostal Waterway in the Spring, Hudson River, Erie Canal, Lake Ontario, Canadian Canals (Trent-Severn), Georgian Bay/North Channel returning to Bay City approximately August 2019.
