Little Diversion Anchorage in Cape Girardeau, MO to Boston Bar in Cairo, IL

Day #91: From last evening Mike and I played one game of cribbage.  I won that game. Happy Anniversary to my sister Krista and brother-in-law Andy. They have been together for 29 years but have been married for 19 years! Up at 6:30 A.M. at Little Diversion in Cape Girardeau, MO. It was sunny and warm. We decided that we needed to get underway to make sure that we were able to get a spot in the Boston Bar anchorage. Engines on at 7:15 A.M. by 7:30 A.M. we were underway on the Mississippi River again. We passed Brown's Bar which is another anchorage that is very good. Mike saw on AIS that "Tyche" was at Boston Bar anchorage so I texted them to see their thoughts on staying there for the evening. I received a text right back that it was a large anchorage, 20 feet of water but there was lots of current. We arrived at Boston Bar at 11:00 A.M. we were secured by 11:20 A.M. "Baytripper" rafted to us. At 11:45 A.M. we headed over to "Baytripper" to have lunch. At 12:45 P.M. Mike and I headed back to our boat to work on a few jobs we are going back to "Baytripper" to play cards for the afternoon. There is lots of current in this anchorage we are swinging pretty good but the anchors seem to be holding. We played euchre which Mike and I won 2 of 3 games. We played GOLF which I won. Bruce and Mike played cribbage which Bruce won. During our card games I was communicating with "Happy Happy" as Terry was letting us know how things were going as he bypassed Boston Bar anchorage heading up the Ohio River. As Terry was texting I was sending the information to "Tyche" and "Houligan again". Bev took out chicken breasts for dinner so Mike grilled them. I contributed baked beans and Bev served up at salad. Very hot afternoon aboard the "Parrot Bay" as it is in the high 80's and humid.
Tomorrow we have 8 miles left of the Mississippi River before we turn up the Ohio River headed another 46 miles to Paducah, KY.
Happy Anniversary to Krista and Andy.
